Today marks the beginning of my work on building the office Jow Gar blog. The folks in China HQ do not speak English, but they need a bridge to other parts of the world. Being both English and Chinese educated helps me to assist them in their aim. I am honoured to be part of this plan and doing this out of interest. I do NOT represent HQ, I am just an administrator to assist them to reach outside of China. The site would be administered by Ah Yong Jie from HQ in Chinese postings and myself in English postings. Computer access is limited in Jiangmen so I will be translating some of their post in the chinese Weibo (mini blog) here.
DOMAIN NAME SELECTION:
Jow Ga is the defacto English name but the domain names are all taken. So I wasn’t sure what to pick. While most Chinese folks would search for Zhoujia Quan, the American folks would use Jow Ga most commonly. Some folks also use Jow Kar or Chow Gar. I considered jowgaint.org (Jowga International) or jowgar.org. I decided on the latter eventually since its easier to type.
